ATTENTION: Choosing which cam site to use is a HUGE decision, so I’m listing the best ones on the block. This post is mostly for webcam models, but you cam site viewers may be interested in what I’m going to reveal also (there’s free shit further down in the post).
It’s a really good time to be a cam girl. The economy is generally strong, and that means that people are willing to spend plenty of money on recreation; movie theaters will be happy, and so will adventurous aspiring cam girls looking to supplement their income or switch careers altogether.
With a recent report from CNBC telling us that the most successful webcam models are pulling down earnings better than $75,000 per month, the revenues in camming are positively on fire right now – so for newcomers who want to get in, quitting your day job is definitely on the table. But you can’t just throw yourself into the job and hope for the best; you need to know what you’re doing, and one of the most important decisions you’ll make is choosing the best cam site to make money on.
Some of the options just plain suck due to low traffic, a crappy interface, or other reasons. What I want to do here is go over some of the top cam sites currently out there, explaining how they work and giving some of their pros and cons, so you can set an intelligent course for your camming career.

Second Top Cam Site: CHATURBATE
Let’s hit Chaturbate. I have to admit, this is one of my personal favorites, and I really think it’s one of the best cam sites out there. And not just for pervy viewers, like myself. Chaturbate’s size is a huge plus: Web metrics show that it’s consistently rated the number one cam site in the world for its “Tier 1” traffic, or traffic originating from first-world countries.
That’s valuable in this industry because first-worlders have the most money to spend (remember what I mentioned about the American economy right now). Some newbies make the mistake of thinking this size is harmful and that smaller sites are actually better for reasons of competition, but that’s not true in this case – the traffic levels on CB more than make up for the increased competition from other cam models.
Chaturbate receives a staggering amount of website visits. It’s consistently listed in the Top 50 sites for North American traffic.
Chaturbate also offers webcam models a vast array of apps and bots, which are programs that help you manage your chatroom. Some may allow you to play tipping games with the viewers, for instance, which really stimulates audience generosity and enthusiasm. Others, meanwhile, just help you keep track of who’s in the channel so you can ban troublemakers and time-wasters.
I don’t have many negative things to say about Chaturbate; it really is one of the best cam sites out there. If it has a downside, it’s that there are so MANY of those apps and bots that they can become overwhelming, especially if you’re new. Keep in mind that you never have to use them. They’re just there to make your life easier, when you’re ready for them. I recommend Token Keno to start with, as it’s a real money-maker, but feel free to go at your own pace beyond that.
Third Best Cam Site: MFC
Next on our list of top cam sites is MyFreeCams, or MFC as it’s popularly known in shorthand. This, too, is one of the biggest cam sites on the web, and in fact it enjoys many of the same benefits as Chaturbate. Particularly, I’m talking about huge traffic and financially solid members, here.
The viewers on MFC like to make it rain just as freely as those on Chaturbate. This is definitely one of the online homes of “whales,” the industry nickname for big spenders who like to drop tokens worth hundreds or thousands of dollars on a single webcam model at a time. I’d probably credit MFC’s highly interactive social media-like feature set for that, as it facilitates a sense of community between members and models that encourages generosity.
On MFC, members can email models, hangout in chats with other members, comment on profiles, and even participate on a social media platform styled after Twitter called “MFC Social.”
Alas, MFC has one major failing that hugely dings it among the best cam sites for webcam models, and that’s its “camscore” rules. On the site’s main page, every model’s ranking in the room list is determined by her camscore, which itself depends on how many tips she earns – the more tips, the higher the camscore.
Not a huge problem for an established cam girl arriving with legions of loyal followers close behind her. Such a performer is sure to start pulling down the tips on her first day, sending her rocketing up the ranks and thus bringing in lots of new people to boost her even further. Pretty good for her.
But you can probably see where this leaves a newcomer still trying to make a name for herself. She’s going to get buried, and she’s most likely going to stay there. When you’re listed down on the tenth page, you’re lucky if anybody ever comes to visit you. There’s no way to get traction, unless you’re just a natural tip-magnet type of chick.
The Camscore room ranking algorithm favors girls who either have a natural magnetism that draws in tippers, or established cam models who already have a supportive fan base. New models can find this to be a challenging problem.
Another point that needs to be mentioned is that MFC is girls-only, so guys and trans models are out of luck over there. This gender restriction makes MFC a kind of specialized cam site, which mostly attracts hetero men and lesbian women (though it’s primarily just straight guys).
For these reasons, while MFC is undoubtedly one of the best cam sites there is, it’s better to consider it an “advanced” option for girls who have been in the business for awhile. If you’re just starting out, it’s not worth the trouble until you can build up a decent following of fans who will support you with generous tips when you debut there.
Up and Coming Cam Site: CAMSODA
Finally, we have the last of our top cam sites: CamSoda. This one is a really interesting case, because while it’s still relatively new, it’s gained popularity faster than I gain weight at Golden Corral after a massive blazefest.
That would be good enough on its own, but what’s really awesome about it is that the soaring metrics only seem to apply to members – not to models. There’s only a relative few native-English-speaking cam girls performing here for a huge pool of Tier 1 viewers. That means competition is low, and the cam model income potential is quite high.
As of mid 2019, CamSoda has a shortage of native-English-speaking models from the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK.
There’s a catch, though. CamSoda may have plenty of viewers, but for whatever marketing (or other) reasons, most of them seem to have a pretty strong preference for a certain type of girl. Specifically, that’d be the bootylicious kind – on CamSoda, big butts are king. If you’ve got a nice badonkadonk on you, that’ll definitely give you an edge there.
Also, one of the reasons CamSoda has grown in popularity so quickly in the last couple years is that it’s home to quite a few huge pornstars. The management team seems to have made quite an effort to recruit established porn models with huge fan following to come and cam at the site, which means that there’s much more traffic watching cams there then would normally be the case at another cam site of the same age.
Big pornstars like Dani Daniels, Tori Black, and Jada Fire broadcast on CamSoda. Porn actresses are usually busy filming, however, so they don’t typically have regular camming schedules.
And don’t think that all those pornstars on CamSoda means that you won’t be able to compete for the attention of tippers…luckily for newbie models, most of the pornstar girls don’t actually cam all that often (it’s usually a once or twice a month type of thing for them).
By the way, CamSoda is giving away FREE Tokens – Get some here…
With all of these factors going for it, I would definitely recommend that cam models use CamSoda as their secondary cam site. While most of the big spender tippers generally prefer Chaturbate right now, new models can often find it easier to get tipped on CamSoda, due to low competition from other models. So, all in all, it can be a great backup cam site.
Best Cam Site For New Cam Girls: CHATURBATE
My pick for the cream of the top cam site for NEW webcam models would have to be Chaturbate. For new cam models, there’s just no question: Chaturbate is the best cam site to make money on.
Its combination of massive, quality traffic and powerful software-driven (those apps and bots) interface makes it so just about any aspiring cam girl can quickly work her way up to a solid income – and beyond.
Before I sign off, I just want to warn you about a trap that new cam girls often fall into; in fact, it’s their number one pitfall, and the biggest reason that beginners don’t make money in camming. That would be getting discouraged in your first few days, and quitting early.
Listen, ladies, the nature of this business is such that you probably aren’t going to make much money (if any) when you first start out. You’re new, no one knows you, and you’ve got no regulars. It’s easy to want to give up when that situation results in no tips for several days straight at the start. But if you stick with it, the rewards can be awesome – especially since, as I said, most of the girls who fail in camming wash out for this one reason!
Instead of throwing in the towel, look at your first couple of weeks as what they are: The most important time of your camming career. That’s when you need to sow the seeds that will eventually yield a vast cash harvest.
In those early days, you do this by camming consistently: Set a firm schedule that includes at least an hour or two of camming every single day of the week, and stick to it. This is enormously important, because it’s how members who like you are able to find you again and start liking you even more. Keep this up, and before you know it, you’ve got your first batch of regulars. It only gets better from there.
But you’ve got to pass through that initial dry-as-balls period to get there. Slow and steady definitely wins this race. Don’t give up!
